In Need of A Serious Pen Pal

Hi, My name is Linda and I am restarting the Atkins plan. I restarted on 12/23/01 and am determined now, more than ever to make it through to the end.

Would love to correspond with anyone who is truly serious about it this time around. I know how easy it is to fall off this thing, and I think I fell off 1 time to many and am going all the way.

Write me at LindaC6724~aol.com if you need daily...DAILY encouragement. Looking for a pen pal for the long haul, who can write to me daily and share our journey together.

Thanks.

Hi Linda - hey, stick around!

There are so many benefits in sharing our experiences on this board, that we don't do much one-on-one contact. I hope you've had a chance to browse the journal section, and have considered starting one of your own.

I know about 15 people on this board who are specialists in their respective areas, they all make the rounds through the journals and give lots of great advice and encouragement.

Nice to meet you. And welcome.

Hi Linda,
Why don't you start a journal and tell us about yourself.
I can't promise I will be able to check in everyday, but I will certainly give it a try. I find that helping people get started gives me more incentive myself. I have to practice what I preach!

I'll be looking for your journal! ;)

Hey Linda,

Heather's right. Much the best way is to start up a journal. It's amazing how quickly you strike up friendships with others in the same position, and come to find that mutual support just comes naturally. LC Sponge is also correct about experts keeping an eye on things and dropping in on people to give advice. In addition to that, there is a solid body of people who give support and encouragement to others. The best thing to do is read around, spend a couple of hours browsing around the forum. That way you pick up not just information, but also the atmosphere of this forum, which is beneficial in itself.

Good luck,

Andy
