eat despite no appetite???

I was wondering if it was better to eat small meals frequently or to just listen to my body tell me when it was hungry. Since beginning lc, my appetite has vanished. I love it! Before I was constanly snacking and obsessed about food. Now I barely think about it. I'm enjoying my days so much more and am doing so much more. I'm just wondering if it's okay to go without if you aren't really hungry. Thanks!

Oh no, don't go without although I have due to loss of appetite. Should you allow your decreased appetite get the better of you, your body will go into the starvation mode and you won't loose weight, this has happened to me!

Try eating small meals several times a day if your not hungry. Try adding fats to your meals too as this will bring up your calorie intake.

Please don't miss your meals, it is easy to do on this woe

This is the best way to go, Jlynn. By eating smaller, more frequent meals you stabilize your blood sugar and manage insulin preventing and spikes. Keeping insulin levels stable will help control hunger and cravings and boost metabolism. If you go too long between meals because you're not hungry or have nothing planned your blood sugar will plumet and when you do eat the corresponding rise in insulin could make you feel awful. Keeping insulin lowered will ensure body fat loss; fat cannot be stored in the abscence of insulin.

Plan your meals ahead of time and be sure to eat at least 10 - 12 times your body weight every day in calories. Do not forget your water either :) (64 oz + 8 oz for every 25 lbs of fat you want to lose)
