Water weight gain?
 

The good news is that my blood pressure is down and my doctor has told me to stop taking the diuretic and just take my other blood pressure medication. The bad news is that I stepped on the scale this morning and found I was four pounds heavier. Egad! I suppose my cycle starting could also be part of the problem.

Has anyone had this sort of a problem before? It is most discouraging.

My weight can fluctuate within 10 lbs. in a week. Because it's water, I don't worry about it. And, I can make it go away by eating at Atkins induction level. Most women experience this every month, or by eating too many carbs - nuts and cold cuts can be big ones - so rather than be discouraged, accept it for what it is and don't worry about it. Celebrate that your off medication instead!

Thanks Karen. It was a little hard seeing such a large fluctuation but this too shall soon pass. I appreciate the words of encouragement.
