Sticking with it this time!

Hi all, I am doing lo carb again and am really going to stick with it. I tried starting this diet about a month or so ago and just was not in the right mind set. I have had some time to reevaluate and have been reading these forums. I am ready to start this new WOE. I do have a question --- already--- why does everyone talk about splenda here as opposed to sweet and low? I'd appreciate anyone's explanation. Thanks.
Kris

Hi

Welcome Kris!
I hope you can come often and draw support from all of us here!
Splenda is used more than Sweet and Low I think because its less bitter. Also some people are worried about Sacrine (pardon my spelling). Use what you are comfortable using. :p
Again, Welcome aboard!!

Besides tasting more like "real" sugar, Splenda is also stable in heat, you can cook with it and it still tastes like sugar.

Thanks so much for the clarification. I bought some today and I must agree that it taste more like the real thing. Thanks for the warm welcome as well.

Splenda

There's been lots of discussion about artificial sweeteners in the past on the forum.

Here's one that might also help you.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. I've been off and on this LC eating so many times I couldn't count. But the information and attitude around here is really helping me make it a Way of Life :) Now I'm learning not to think of it as a temporary fix, but a permanent healthier solution

It works :exclm: And here is where I found out the information I needed to really tackle the weight issue.

Glad you came on board.
