example of what I eat
Hi everyone! I'm new to this low-carb style of eating, and I 'm going to list what i ate yesterday, and what I ate today...
It would be great if someone would tell me if it seems like I'm doing this right! Yesterday I had: scrambled eggs 2 sausages small amount of skim milk small amount of oatmeal, plain 2 large sausages cauliflower diet coke orange juice (and a bit of vodka- that's not common thought) Today: Kellogg's All Bran 60 ml skim milk small amount of strawberry yogurt 2 sausages scrambled eggs tuna lettuce chives dill pickle tomato alfalfa sprouts diet iced tea small amount of mayo 2 apples unsweetened orange juice. Thank you so much for your help! |

What eating plan are you following? Your own thing or someone elses?? I see that you are eating cereal that is why I asked.

I'm not on Sommers, but I don't think you can eat carbs and protein at same meal - sausage and oatmeal. Did you check the book?

If I had even a SMIDGEON of oatmeal or allbran, I would be pigging out for weeks. Either that or it would start off the rollercoaster of eating-starving-eating-starving-eating-starving. That's why I love this woe so much, it has broken that cycle. I actually have a life between meals.

To me apples seem pretty high in carb...plus the cereals all such...I didnt take a full apple nowadays... perhaps just a small slice... and orange juice naturally contains some sugar...~
Perhaps you should buy a carbohydrate counter to see if you are exceeding the fat-losing carb intake... |

YOUR DIET MUST BE SUZANNE SOMMERS IT IS NOT ATKINS
scrambled eggs --fine 2 sausages ---- sugar? small amount of skim milk ----- milk sugar small amount of oatmeal, plain ------- low glycemic/not low carb. 2 large sausages --fine - sugar? cauliflower diet coke ----citric acid/caffeine orange juice (and a bit of vodka- that's not common thought) no comment! Today: ---------------------------------------estimated carbs Kellogg's All Bran 10 60 ml skim milk 10 (how much is this?) small amount of strawberry yogurt 3 2 sausages -------avoid if salt probs------0 (sugars fillers?) scrambled eggs 0-3 tuna lettuce chives dill pickle ..............avoid if salt probs tomato alfalfa sprouts 1 diet iced tea citric acid if crystal light small amount of mayo ----hope this is not miracle whip 2 apples ---a lowER glycemic fruit/still tons of sugar 20+ unsweetened orange juice. - oh right, just drink the highest sugar liquid out there...30+ carbs Your carbs may be under 100 carbs but this is NO low carb plan. What is your diet? ...and what were you thinkin?! I don't mean to sound snotty, but hey - you put your menu out for review...and I reviewed it. |

don't worry about being snotty, I wanted people' s opinions...
I guess in my self defence all I can say is that I excercised for 2 hours both those days and I figured I should have a little carbs, because if I don't my legs feel really sore and tired. |

Well I continute to worry about being a snotty know it all because I'm opinionated and I have a big mouth. But I do care.

ok people, but you have to remember that I cannot afford to grocery shop and get things like plain yougurt!!!!!!!!!!! I eat from a university cafeteria! I 'm trying to do the best I can with limited choices.
