Splenda Sweets??
Hi Everyone!
Can anyone tell me which sweet/treat/chocolate type goodie contains only Splenda for sweetening? There seem to by lots that are partially sweetened with it, but they also have another sweetener aswell! Just feeling in need of a little treat and I figured that something Splenda based would be the best option. Thanks Jacquie |
FYI, the only sweetener whose consumption Atkins DISCOURAGES (which is not the same as saying "forbids") is aspartame. As far as Atkins is concerned, the others are fine.
Now, in answer to your question, if you don't even want any of the "sugar alcohols" like maltitol, etc (which are OK with Atkins also), your only choice may be the Atkins RTD shakes (I am not sure about the other brands). If you don't consider them "sweets", I suspect you can make some tasty treats with them, by adding cream and things like that (use your imagination). |
Hi Jackie
Asda's sugar free toffees, fruit chews and blackcurrant drops are all sweetened with Splenda (Sucralose). Ken |

Are you sure that those products don't contain polyols (maltitol, etc). Those are sweeteners also. I'd be rather surprised if they didn't. |
