How low is low?

100g? 85g? 20g??

Trying to find a way to set up a diet plan that I can enjoy...but I'm not sure what 'low' really is when it comes to the wonderful world of carbs!

Thanks in advance!

HIlary,

for the weight-loss stage, low would be about 20g. I go up to 30. But if I eat more than that, it turns on my cravings and I go overboard. Some can go up to 50. For maintanance, I'd say low would be more in that 85 to 100 range, depending on your individual bodies response to carbs.

Hilary,
A friend of mine's "low carb" plan was just to exclude breads, pastas, potatoes, etc. The obvious high carb foods. She has done great on it. I noticed from your profile that you are doing your own plan so you can be flexible. Have you read about different low carb plans? I'm on Atkins but as a maintenance once I reach my goal, I will probably go with Sugar Busters, which concentrates more on "smart carbs" rather than low carbs.
Good luck! There's so much information out there!!

Thanks for the extra info!

I have decided to go with the Carb Addicts Diet...going to start once I have the right food (lol) and have finished reading the book! :)

I can't wait! :)
