almost to the home stretch
ive noticed in some of the replies that people say the last 10-20 pounds are the hardest to lose and takes the longest, is that for people who have moved on to phases 3 or 4 or is it just the way the body goes, now i know not everybodys the same i guess im just looking for opions on the subject, ive tried to stick close to the 20carbs. like with induction and never go over 30, but i have noticed a slow down in my weight loss, i know slower is better, but finally being close to my goal is getting me really excited!

My loss has slowed way down, and I still eat just 20-22 grams of carbs a day. I was losing about 1 1/4 pounds a week last spring and summer; now I lose maybe 1 1/2 pounds a month. But that's ok - it's nice to be close to my goal!

It's basically just a law of percentages. If you have 50% of your body weight to lose, it is just going to come off faster than if you have 5% to lose.
The problem with staying at 20 grams of carbs is that now you have nowhere to go to jumpstart loss if it happens to stop. |
Wow andreaBash You look great!!! What great pic's!! I wish that I would have done that, I do have fat pic's and now pics, but yours are totally cool!!!!

:) Thanks.
I was inspired by a friend who did Atkins last year -- I put together her progress photos and I decided I really wanted one of my own. So I started taking pictures when I started, hoping I'd get to a point where it would show. :) |
wow your doing great.. keep it up:)

It seems like I have been trying to lose that last 10 pounds, (not counting damange done over Christmas) for a year now! And I usually stay around 20 carbs a day.
