Wanna try TKD.. some questions

Hi. I have been on atkins for the last year, and I think its timne to try something new cause I feel like I am stuck. Earlier this year I tried CKD but didnt work for me, so I would like to try TKD. I have been reading all the information on this threads but I have a few questions:

- Does anybody eat yogurt? either high fat or low fat, not for CU but for normal diet. Cottage cheese is very expensive in my country, and I really like yogurt! It hasnīt stall me before. Or could you tell me what other dairy sources woul be fine? maybe ricotta or fresh cheese?

- I couldn found powdered dextrose, but I found it on liquid form at 10%. What will be a good amount to start with?

- Do you think it could be a good idea to do a CU day every 2 or 3 weeks? NOt excessivelly high carbs, just enought to reset leptin levels.

My stats:
Female
Age: 26
Height: 5"2ī
Weght: 120 lb
BF: 20.8% approx

I do weight lifting 3xweek, 2 day split (ub -lb) and cardio first thing in the morning 5xweek 30 minutes.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks !!

I eat a lot of Ricotta every week.
Dextrose should be available at a health food store?
Malto dextrin is a good carb http://proteinfactory.com/store/pro...0c53e4041302975
I have done CKD TKD AND NHE
By far the most comfortable it NHE.
As for leptin levels make sure you really eat enough carbs and calories.
If you carb load keep fat and protein low during carb loads.
Also I recommend starchy carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, pasta, stel cut oats and regular white potatoes.
You will get better results if you limit sweets and refined carbs like flour and sugar.

TKD you carb up before you lift weights only.
I think you would do well with 20-30g of pure carbs.
If you are cycling carbs like CKD or NHE the the starchy carbs come into play. Sorry I misunderstood.

jagbender thank you for your replay!

Guess I am going to try with ricotta. Would it be ok to eat ricotta 1 hour before my WO, and the carbup just half hour or less before WO?

I plan to get to 17% or 18% bf and then switch to NHE, I am sure one carbup meal twice a week will be better for me than do CKD, the 2 day carb up seems to be too much for me.

Thanks!

Protein 1 hour b4 and carbs 30 minutes out.
Glucose disposal agents like Vanadyl Sulphate or Alpha Lipoic Acid. Taken pre workout will help you return to ketosis faster.
