Caffeine Question

Does excessive caffeine hinder weight loss? If so how?

In some people it causes cravings for sweets, so yes it can be a staller. See what works for you however as for some they lose great using caffiene containing things, however just dont overdo it.

Jenn, this is a bone of contention with lots of people on this forum. I'm not sure you'll get the concise answer your looking for because the research goes both ways. Many people on this forum loose really well without ever giving up their cupa. Dr. A does say that you should give it up, though. If you do drink it excessively, and it sounds like you or someone you know does, why not do a half decaf half calf thing and slowly ween yourself off of it? Consuming excessive anything can't be good for you.

Well I have 2 cans of soda a day. Is that excessive for caffeine intake? I am honestly not sure. Because like you I have read the Dr. A says no caffeine so I don't know if having 2 cans of soda is excessive or not for weight loss.
