Some BFL ???s

2 questions por favor:

1. Today was my first work out (upper body) and I as I got to the later sets (of 6 and 8 reps), I couldn't raise the weight - I had to keep it the same as the set before. Is this ok, or would it be better to start at a lower weight so I can increase with each set.

2. Tomorrow is my first BFL cardio day. Can someone tell me what to do for this? I know it should be HIIT, but I've looked on bodyforlife.com and other sites and can't find any more detailed info. Any advice? Thanks

KingB123,

I'm nearly positive that Bill Phillips (I think that's the BFL author) is a HIIT guy. When you read your BFL book, doesn't he spell-out how to do HIIT Aerobic Training? I think his formula (I would have to check my copy of the book at home to be sure) is something like 3 minute jog, 1 minute sprint, 3 minute jog, 1 minute sprint, etc.

Regarding the lifting, I think he says that if you can't do 5 reps, you need to lower the weight. If you can do 15 reps, you need to raise the weight. It's been a long time since I've read that book, but I thought that was his philosophy.

P.S. How did you manage to increase your height by an inch?! I think that I have actually shrunk by a 1/4 of an inch!

I started when I was 16 and I'm now 17, so just normal growth. It's pretty amazing though as most people gain weight when they get taller (bone mass and all). In fact, people who haven't seen me since I was 213 lbs think I've grown 6 inches because the one inch height growth coupled with the 70 pound weight loss makes it look like I skyrocketed up lol.
