liquid splenda?

I have a question about liquid splenda. Why is it that liquid splenda has no carbs but its powdered version does?

In order to 'bulk it up' and make it a quantity that you see they add maledextrose( a starch) to it to make it the consistancy of
"sugar" That is where the carb comes from.
