excess belching
Ever since I started on this WOL i can't stop belching. It's not every once in awhile but once every 10 mins and sometimes more. I was wondering if anyone else suffers from this too. It's very inconvenient because I am at work and when I feel the need to belch and I have to duck behind a corner. :o If I hold it in it becomes very uncomfy...

Come work with me...we belch all day. What are you eating and drinking?
|
Diet Rite makes me burp alot, but being the lady I am I make sure that my mom or sis are within earshot just incase it's a world record setter. :yum:
|
That's strange, because since I left the carbs by the wayside, the belching and other gas symptoms :o have all but disappeared. The only time I experience it is if I have some cucumber in my salad or eat a pickle.

im with steve... the gas is gone 4 me

Are you drinking lots of water? More than normal? Drinking with a straw? You could be swallowing air. Perfectly normal. I'd say, develop your technique for burp delivery. See if you can cause books to fall off the bookshelf with the resonance.

LMAO....the thread is so funny. When I was little my mom told me not to act this way, but when she wasn't around...dad and I would have contests!

Frankenfood?
Clean LC food generally won't make me have any gas effects, but any of the sugar alcohols can be QUITE expressive, as can hidden carbs. Can you try an isolation diet to figure out where the problem is?
In the meantime, Gas-X (or generic) might be useful. Pretty fast-acting. |
All's I know is when I began this WOE burping became a new problem, lol. Is it cause of the increased amount of raw veggies? Who knows. But I was never a big belcher till now. Bad bad habbit infront of 4 children

I don't drink soda so thats not my problem, but I do drink all my water through a straw. I also don't attribute it to sugar alcohols either because I rarely ea frankenfoods. But I can say that I have virtually elminated gas that comes from he other end if you catch my drift.

Well.. two things. You swallow air everytime you drink something. I think drinking with a straw makes you swallow more air. If you're drinking more, you'll swallow more air as well. Some people actually develop the habit of swallowing air just normally. I've heard Dr. Dean Edell discuss it. I'd be willing to be its just air you're swallowing.
Go to google and type "cause of belching" and you'll find articles like this: http://www.medicinenet.com/Intestin...nce/article.htm Quote:
