Happy One Year Atkins Anniversary to me and my DW!!!
 

May 26, 2003 (Memorial Day) my MIL gave my DW her copy of DANDR. DW read parts of it to me during our 5 hour drive from Rockford, IL to St. Louis. She read the book and I started reading it as well. I didn't read it cover to cover in 1 day like some people have done, but I finished it eventually.

We started the very next day. I wish I would have had a journal then, so I could go back and read about my feelings and frame of mind during that 1st induction period.

I also wish I had taken body part measurements. All I know is that I went from a 46 pants and 2XL shirts to 38 pants and XL shirts. At least I had a starting point WRT my weight and my cholesterol numbers.

This WOE has given me way more than I could have ever imagined.
I never imagined losing more that 20-30 el bees.
I never imagined being under 200 el bees again.
I never imagined that I'd get off of my BP meds.
I never imagined that I wouldn't be the "fat dad" any more at any of my sons functions.
I never imagined having most excellent blood test results.
I never imagined that my DW would turn into the sexiest 40 year old woman that I know.
I never imagined that I'd find this web site and meet so many wonderful supportive people. Thanks!!!
