The scale finally moved!
 

The scale finally moved after thirteen days on induction.

I started Atkins on Mother's day switching from Six Week Body Makeover. I had already lost 30 pounds on this plan during the six weeks before making the switch.

During the first four days I dropped three pounds, but then read about his recommendation not to take prescription diuretics. Since I was on this for swelling not anything life threatening I stopped it. I quickly gained back the three pounds I lost, and then some.

For the last 10 days I have been up and down up and down on the scale and up until yesterday was at the same weight as when I started. Today, Praise the Lord! the scale was down THREE POUNDS! I was so excited I felt like doing a little happy dance.

Everyone was so supportive when I posted with the "stall". I hung in there and it finally broke.

Hopefully, this will be the beginning for me.

Congratulations! I know how you feel--believe me! Been playing the scales game a lot lately myself, LOL.

If you have problems with water retention, drink extra water, even if you're drinking a gallon a day drink more. My body just loves to hang onto water--uses any excuse it can muster. I try to limit salty foods and whenever I eat fast food and such, I always prepare myself mentally for the water weight gain--it invariably happens.
