tired & spacey

I have doing Atkins for 3 1/2 weeks; lost about 5 lbs so far & have been feeling GREAT on induction...lots of energy & no cravings....until yesterday/ today...have been feeling extremely pooped out with no energy at all...feel like sleeping all day (not an option)...& I feel spacey. Could this be due to being on induction for more than 2 weeks? Aside from the past 2 days I have enjoyed being on induction, so I don't really want to up my carbs unless I have to. Any suggestions?

Are you taking your suppliments? If so, perhaps you do need to add a bit more carbs & fat in.

You might NEED to eat a few more carbs per day. Or you might need some potassium since weakness/ fatigue is a symptom of that.

Just get some "No-Salt" from the grocery and put it on your food like salt. It's good on salads, meat & veggies. That should make a difference. And eat a tomato with the No Salt - a few more carbs, and some potassium.

yes, I am taking supplements...I might try adding carbs/fat - but hated to monkey with induction since it's been working so well for me (til now.) Thanks for the suggestion.

At my age & after 3 kids, I have abandoned the quest to look "good naked"...but I'll settle for "great in tight jeans!"

BUt potassium is very limited in supplements because there is a lot in many foods. But LCing does not include most of the high potassium foods. So you may temporarily need some extra K.

If you meant you are taking potassium supplements, then OK - you are fine.

I'm just taking a multi-vitamin, a "C", & some tums (calcium) each day...I will get some potassium supplements...(I used to eat a banana every day.)
Thanks for the advice!
