Iam back on Phase 1
I wanted to introduce myself to everyone at this wonderful site.
I started the South Beach diet June of 2003. Although I stuck to the diet by the book and was on Phase 1 for 4 weeks I only lost 8lbs. Over the next several months I lost another 10lbs. December came and I gained 4lbs back and have yet to loose them. I still have another 2-25lbs that I want to loose. I finally joined Curves last month and started exercising, something that I never did before. I was hoping that the exercise would kick start my weight loss again, but after 4 weeks I did not loose anything (in weight or inches). I must confess that the last month I was "cheating" on the weekends once in a while. Now I have started a 6 week challenge with Curves. They have started me on their Phase 1 low carb diet, which I will do for 2 weeks and then I will go to Phase 2. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to post anything that might help me kick start my weight loss. Thanks!! |
Hi FlMomof3,
welcome to the forum :) You found a great place for ingormation and support. I wish you much success..exercising while losing weight is the way to go. |
I know that for me, drinking water (which I hate) kick-started my loss. Now I drink my 8 glasses a day and have started exercise 3 times a week. You can do this!

While the Atkins site has started to call things as Phase 1,2, 3 & 4, most of us who have been LCing for a long while refer to them as Induction, Ongoing Weight Loss, Pre-Maintenance & Maintenance. Just wanted to tell you so as to avoid confusion as the "phase" term seemed strange when I first read it.
Hope you are back on track and will resume successful losing. |
I've only been lc'ing for a week now (on my 9th day of induction) so unfortunately don't have much advice on kick-starting the weight loss. But I just wanted to say hello from one mom of 3 to another. Mine are 6, 2, and 1. For your sake, I hope yours are older. ;)
 Blessings on the lc journey :rheart: anonyMouse |
