I noticed something weird....

For two weeks, I was sticking strictly by the Induction foods (no LC treats, aspertame, ketchup, etc) and I was losing pretty slowly.

I started eating two or so sugar-free popsicles a day (3 carbs in each), and drinking Crystal Light, sugar free jello sometimes, and even putting a little ketchup on my meats, and I noticed I am losing faster now.

Is this normal? I'm probably eating at least 25 carbs a day, instead of 16-20 like I was before. Anyone else experience this?

I was stuck at the same weight for a while. I think it was around 147. I added in some extra carbs in the form of Atkins pancakes each morning. I think it upped my daily count to about 25. It jump started my loss again.

I noticed that my body had become accustomed to the 20 grams and was hanging on to the weight for dear life.

Perhaps you're filling up more on no-calorie stuff and just taking in fewer calories?

My first week on induction I was averaging 30 carbs a day and lost 5 lbs, this second week I lowered my carbs to 20 or less and I lost 2 lbs at the beginning of the week then gained it back.. I think I need to up them in order to lose...

It could be a calorie thing. I lowered my calories, but my carbs were upped a bit when I added in some low carb, but lower calorie treats, and lost a couple of pounds.

Everybody's body is totally different, so we all have to 'tweak' things sometimes to suit what our bodies want to do.

I am in the tweaking process at the moment! Every cheat brought a loss!! How funny is that. Started using fitday...lowered calories, uped carbs and we are rolling again!!

I tried to up my carbs from 25 to 30 and stopped losing weight, so I went back down to 25. Well after about a month weight loss stopped so I upped my carbs back to 30 and started losing again. I am now up to 35. Maybe my metabolism is healing. If eating those foods work for you, great. Keep it up. We are all different and I am glad you found what works for you.
