monthly cycle question
I was wondering what the average weight gain can be during "That Time" of the month. I seem to go up almost 5 pounds.
Is there a standard? It can be kinda depressing, especially when I'm already a bit sensitive. |
I never weigh myself while TOM. It is a part of life that we gain water. It is probably a necessary evil since we are shedding fluid
at this time. But, it is temporary. After you have been doing this for a while you will adjust to the ups and downs of weightloss. Water retention and weightloss resistance is worse when your are perimenopausal, like me. When did you begin this woe? Don't allow Aunt Flow to give any more anxiety than you already have and just ride this out. |
I tend to gain about 2-3 lb during AF each month. Keeping away from the scale does wonders for my well-being at that point! It always goes away after the fact though.

the upside to that time of the month??? apparently your metabolism is way higher, so if you stick to your diet and sneak in a bit more exercise, you might get extra weight loss benefits!
:D |
Yep! Just avoid those scales then. Also, keep in mind, you may gain a few pounds during ovulation. I always do--it's the pits. Of course, I know for sure what's going on with my body then! :D

I always go up 2-5 pounds. I think it may have to do with how much sodium I consume then too. My feet and ankles also swell and my stomach bloats :/

I go up 3-5 lbs
I try to avoid the scale, but I look anyway. I just dont let it bug me. |
My monthly gain is about 3 pounds. I get it the first day and it stays there for about a week. Yucky poo.

Thanks for the response...you always wonder if you are the only one.
I've been doing this woe consistantly since the first of March. I think I will avoid the scale this week as well. |
