2 oatmeal cookies + sorbet =
weight loss.
Ok, I have only cheated twice in a whole year. The first time was at my brothers wedding and the second was 3 nights ago. I was at someone's house for dinner and she had made this dessert especially for my mom and I thinking that we were on a low fat diet. Oatmeal cookies and a fruit sorbet. By what I have read on this forum I expected water weight the next day but I lost half a pound and now 3 days later have not gained anything from it. Just thought I would post this because people are always interested in what happens when people cheat. I think that the key is to get right back on atkins the next day. By the way, my mom did gain a pound from it but has since lost it. |
Does anyone have any ideas on why I didn't gain and my mom did? She was just as strict as me the next day.

You're younger, you burn more calories just by existing. Maybe your overall calorie intake was less. Maybe your mom is retaining fluids. Many, many different reasons.
Remember, a pound of fat is 3500 calories. One good BM, one good purge of retained water and you're losing weight. It isn't fat, but it is weight. :p I doubt the cookies and sorbet made you lose weight. |
