NO SUGAR Mayonnaise

I just noticed that the Mayonnaise that I've been using has sugar in it. Does anyone know of a Mayonnaise that has NO SUGAR?

Thanks in advance!

Duke's Mayonnaise, or you can make your own

I personally feel that the tiny amount of sugar in mayo is not going to hurt me. Unless you're eating a cup of mayo a day or something, I vote for not worrying about it.

Like salad dressing — Atkins himself said any salad dressing with 2 carbs per T or less is perfectly OK. That includes my Hidden Valley Ranch, which is 1 carb per T, but contains sugar.

OMGS! It's SO SOOOO easy to make your own!

(I've seen other recipes - but none that tasted right - here's one that TASTES like Hellman's/Best Foods)

2 eggs - yolks separated from whites (Our eggs are always large - with other sizes - add or decrease salt and lemon juice to taste)
1 cup vegetable (canola or whatever - olive will make it taste odd) oil
1.5 TBSP Lemon Juice
Dash of salt (salt to taste)

(I've found a "stick" or "hand" mixer - you know - those ones by "Braun" for example work best here - but a whisk will do! It's a lot just more work! Oh and I don't mean those mixers where you stick the two beaters in, like you'd use for whipping cream - the straight ones with the blade in the bottom)

Put the egg yolks, lemon juice and salt in a small bowl (glass is best) then whisk or mix them until they're all smooth and slightly ligher yellow, then add in just a tad of the oil (maybe 1/4) then blend that real well.

Now, if you're using a whisk (and really the stick mixer is best!) you would add the oil in slowly blending it well before you add more oil, then, add the egg whites all at once and whick the heck out of it! DONE!

If you're using the stick mixer you put a little oil in and blend it then you can really just add the rest of the oil all at once, you don't need to do it bit by bit like the above. Blend that really well (about 2-3 seconds) so it's all smooth and shiny then add the whites all at once and you'll instantly see the change! The whites will be stiff almost immediately! Blend it all through with the stick mixer and DONE!

You'll know it right away with the stick mixer as it really will look and taste just like Real Mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip - but Mayonnaise). With the whisk it will take a bit longer.

You can do this with a standard hand mixer as well I am sure, but I would mix the ingredients on slow to medium mixing the oil in little by litte and only go to high speed when you've added the whites. I've never done it with that kind so I cannot say for sure how long it would take, etc.

ENJOY! :D

I think the President's Choice brand does not. Not the NoName brand, but the PC one.

I use kraft mayo, it is supposed to have .1 g per tbsp., and I don't think it affects my weight loss. But since it is so easy to make I will try it tonight.

Trader Joe's regular unsweetened mayo is great too. No hydrogenated oils, no corn syrup, etc.

That little bit of sugur will not harm you!

The easiest way is in your food processor. Mine has an insert in the top where I just dump in the oil and it drips in while it's running. If you don't have the little thingy with the hole you can add small amounts through the top as it's running and when it's thick it's done.

Thanks everyone!

Now it's going to be so easy to either make or buy "legal" mayo. I definitely don't want to give yummy Mayonnaise up.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
