The scoop on low-carb: Kemps
The scoop on low-carb
Kemps has joined the low-carb craze made popular by the Atkins, South Beach and The Zone diets, and will now offer low-carb ice cream under the Carb Promise brand. Dairy foods already are low in carbohydrates, except from some of the lactose natural sugars found in milk. But, said Raquel Melo, Kemp's senior product manager-desserts, most ice cream products do contain a lot of sugar — a major source of carbs. The Minneapolis-based dairy foods company is delivering its ice cream for dieters to area supermarkets in vanilla, butter pecan, chocolate peanut butter cup, vanilla fudge nut sundae, toffee fudge chunk and something called "caramel cow tracks." http://www.kemps.com/ |
I have got to try the "caramel cow tracks" just out of principle. Whoever came up with that daring name needs some postive feedback :- )
