The Induction / Estrogen Connection

Since starting induction my breasts are much FULLER. Why? Perhaps it is that fat consumption increases estrogen production. I learned on the "hormone jungle" website that DEcreases in estrogen can have the following effects on your appearance:

Menopause / Decrease of Estrogen
Changes in appearance that may occur during menopause include:

Shrinking and sagging of breasts.
Thinning of scalp and pubic hair.
An increase in facial hair.
Drying and wrinkling of the skin.
Increased brittleness, grooving, and slower growth of nails.
Weight gain, bloating.

So - gosh, I'm NOT in menopause, but was barely eating any fat before and yes, had the above symptoms...so it only follows that the sudden eating of PLENTY of fat might result in an increase - or balancing in my case - of hormones/estrogen?? Would result in (a happier me):

Fuller/firmer breasts - yes I think so (not for men I assume!)
Less hair falling out - yes for the scalp any way (ha ha)
A DEcrease in facial hair - yes
Moister skin and softer facial lines - definately
Increased strength, less grooving and faster growth of nails - definately
Weight LOSS, less bloating - soon to come I hope!!!

Please everyone/or an expert - chime on in on this one! Bigger breasts always make me feel FAT no matter WHAT - but my clothing fits better so its weird...

I think what you've left out here is that the fat in your body stores estrogen which is released as you lose weight. I don't see your stats, so I don't know if you're close to your goal weight or have a ways to go. If you have a fair amount of fat left, you're probably releaseing estrogen.

Also, another problem with taking the "opposite" of menopause is that more hormones than just estrogen change at that time.

I remember reading/responding to your post once before. I'd be willing to bet that it is the estrogen your body is releasing and that it will settle down in time as you get close to your goal weight.

Hormones are made of colesteral (sorry cant spell) the chemical base of hormones is colesteral, so if you were not getting enough fat or colesteral before you body was not able to make the estrogen needed. now that you are getting higher fat % your body is producing more.

Also your body needs cirtian fats, I can get into a biochemical explination but i wont, but you body can only make fat with a cirtain number of carbons, after that it can add anymore carbon molicules. so to get these longer fat molicules you body mys ingest them. hormones are made of these longer fats that your body cant make.

so basicly you are finally giving your body what it has needed all along.

hope that was not to techincal.

Thank you so much

Thank you for the explaination. :yay: ..I would like the more detailed scientific explanation if you have time (I have a masters degree/will understand more than that and am interested)... I feel WELL recently. I'm eating alot of fat and my body is losing weight, my skin is PERFECT (wow), my appetite is under control, my breasts are now slowly going back to something I'm comfortable with (I guess the burst of estrogen beginning true induction started that reaction)... my nails are growing SO FAST, my hair is not falling out (like on lowfat diets)...wow what more could I ask for. I don't feel irritable, crabby or restless and I'm sleeping better. Wow. Please please if you have time...more info...every time I eat fat I still think - gee  this doesn't look right/seem like it would work (weightloss and all the other benefits) BUT IT DOES :yay: . I'm sure others would like the information :agree: . You are so helpful and encouraging. BIG SMILE :wiggle:
