LC dieting and Creatine ?

My wife is LC dieting and I have agreed to do so to make meal preparation a bit easier on us both. I have done this on occasion in the past. My body weigh fluctuates between 195 and 200. My main source of exercise is heavy weightlifting. My body fat is approximately 14%.
While LC dieting in the past I reduced my carbs to the minimum and lost weight way too fast as a result my strength declined dramatically.
My question----I want to continue supplementing with creatine (phosphagen-70gms of carbs) and keep my overall carb intake at approx 200gms. In 3 days I am down 5 lbs yet obviously not in ketosis--still negative. I suspect that I will not show to be in ketosis because of the amount of carbs. Nonetheless does this sound conducive to losing bodyfat or should I be doing something else????? I could care less about the scale weight, more importantly I am interested in losing the body fat.
SORRY THIS IS SO LENGTHY!!!

creatine and low-carbs

I actually reccomend that any serious strength training athletes who drop their carbs to lean out take at least 10g of creatine per day (obvioulsy if you are taken phosphagen branc, DON'T take the HP version ... LOL)

your carb levels are too high for you to hit ketosis. Maybe you should try a CKD ... low carb during the week, and carb up on the weekends.

Visit the CKD forum and look for the "CKD 101" thread to get the low-down.

I know my carb intake is to high to go into ketosis, but will I still benefit from this modified LC diet???? I just don't want to dump the creatine and yes unfortunately it is the hp.........I know ....alot of sugar mixed with the creatine. My success with other brands have just not been very good. HP also seems to keeps my shoulders from aching from benching....cell volumizing effects I guess.
