Splenda 600 times sweeter than sugar?

I have heard claims that Splenda is 600 times sweeter than sugar...yet it can be measured "cup for cup just like sugar...." If I used 1 cup Splenda instead of 1 cup sugar, wouldn't that be like adding 600 cups sugar??? just wondering!

anybody worried about health concern over Splenda?

Hi Mac,

Pure Splenda is a liquid and you only need a drop or so to equal a much larger amount of sugar. The granulated Splenda that can be used "cup for cup" to substitute for sugar, has fillers added. ;)

I certainly am not too worried health wise about Splenda. It doesn't do anywhere near the harm that sugar does, so I am happy to use a small amount.
