Hello everybody,

I have been reading the info on this site and on this forum for about 2 months, and recently decided to join. I have been low carbing for about 3 years, after doing my own research on the best way to lose weight and be healthy (I am a major carbo-addict). I am 21 years old, male, and live in Montreal, Quebec.
I am currently completing my B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences at Montreal University.
I have been impressed with the depth of info shared by the members of this board and am glad to join in.

Thanks!

Hello! We're glad to have you. Welcome aboard!

What did you think of the "Wild Physique" book?

Hi Lisa, thanks for your kind words...

I loved the Wild Physique book, I think that Vince Gironda was a great individual, and his death was a great loss to the field of physical culture and health. I think that his supplement recommandations are a bit extreme for the average guy(I gues they are ok for competitive bodybuilders though).
He states the cholesterol/saturated fat fallacy in his book, and it was published at the height of the low-fat craze (1983 if memory serves), so he gets all my respect for stating the truth, no matter how controversial. He has never been afraid to speak his mind and was a supremely intelligent man.
He had his faults, but all in all, a great book from a great man.
