Any Ideas??

Trying to find something new to season my meats with. I'm getting tired of meat tenderizers like Lawrys season ect.. Sometimes I just use salt and garlic. Just wondering what everyone else is using.

I use Adobo Goya--find it in the hispanic section usually of store and old bay seasoning. Try it, it's good.

Good Luck,

my basic seasoning is salt pepper garlic powder and paprika.

On chicken I have a bunch of different cajun spices that I made myself by combining different spices together that I sometimes use instead of the paprika.

Recently I found Spice Hunter brand spices and I really like them. Last night I had the seafood grill and broil seasoning on salmon I also added a touch of olive oil sea salt (since their spice blends have no salt) garlic powder and a dash of their cajun creole.

Their seafood grill and broil has
brown mustard seeds
lemon peel
black pepper
onions
chili pepper
celery seeds
bay leaves
basil
fennel
oregano
red pepper
thyme

So I guess you can make a blend yourself using the ingredients but its really good

their cajun is
paprika
onion
garlic
black pepper
lemon peel
chile
allspice
thyme
cloves
mace
cayanne
bay leaf

I got a whole bunch of their spice blends but I also have all of these spices on their own (I have waaaay too many spices).
I use fennel a lot and fresh herbs, you can always try those to liven things up.

I highly reccomend these blends though
They were all good
my least favorites where the zip and thai (just doesnt go well on salmon imo) and I dont like the cajun on asparagus I prefer fresh garlic rosemary and olive oil on asparagus.

anyway good luck and just experiment with different flavors that you like.

Also try making marinades

the recipe section has a bunch of ideas
check it out!
