Gravy Dilemma (no drippings)
I am starting on my Turkey Day shopping and preparations. The one item I has not finalized yet is the gravy for the 20lb bird. I have read posts and seen recipes for making gravy using ThickenThin or Xantham gum etc. The problem is that I am going to be deep-frying the bird (yum!) and will not have any drippings to make the gravy with.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated |
No problem. Use chicken or vegetable broth instead of drippings. When thickened it makes a delicious gravy. I like to add a few herbs and sauted minced garlic while cooking.Happy Thanksgiving :)
