Soy Milk

My mom found an extremely low low-carb soy milk product and suggested I use it. I just wondered if soy milk is okay to use or if it's one of those deceptive low-carb products that will stall weigh loss similar to the sugar alcohol products I was reading about in another thread. Thanks!!

IT is ok to use, but make sure that it is unsweetened soy milk. Most soy milks are sweetened and half a good amount of carbs in them. Read the lables. Good luck to you.

Unsweetened soy milk is OK and has only 4-5 carbs per cup. Beware of anything else. Most soy milk that just says "plain" probably has added rice syrup (duh,*sugar*).

I like the Westsoy brand, they have SoySlender in chocolate, vanilla, and cappichino flavors. I use it to make my own protein shakes with a scoop of whey protein powder, a couple of tbls. of cream, some splenda or Davinci syrup (try different flavors) to 3/c cup of soymilk. Great for quick breakfast or snack!

Hi, Beck! WalMart (and I'm sure other stores) also carries a product called Carb Countdown. Basically it's a low-carb milk. It takes a little odd, but it's not bad. I haven't tried soy milk so don't know how they compare, flavor-wise.
