Atkins is really Voodoo

I am in induction and have been for the last 9 days and over the past 3 days my weight more or less stayed where it was.

So I started to wonder what the hell was going on. I looked over the food I am eating, and figured out I didn't have a clue why I was stalling out.

So I said the hell with it. Started drinking water like mad and after eating like a pig yesterday evening, and taking the dogs for a walk, and drink almost 2 gallons of water during the evening...... I seem to be back on the path I "thought" I would be on. Down 2 pounds since yesterday.

I do think this is Voodoo and Doctor Atkins was the Voodoo Diet Doctor Prince of Leaness.

I guess you really gotta have faith in what is in that book. IF you do what you have been programmed to do for the past X number of years you will have issues.

Listen to the good Voodoo Diet Doctor.... all will be good.

Weighing yourself every day is going to give you inaccurate results.

Everybody's weight fluctuates naturally up to 5 lbs from day to day.

Start weighing yourself only once a week and your weight will "seem" more stable.

I never weight myself daily...because I have fluctuated 3 lbs up and down from day to day. If you are on meds, it can cause you to retain water, same if you are constipated, or if you ate a larger amount of sodium the night before.

I've been low-carbing since April of 2002 and I will tell you (since I fell off the wagon on 2 occassions) that I feel wonderful on this way of life...my health has never been better and although my weight loss is slow...it is happening...something that never did previously.

Perhaps you should watch the sodium, watch the dairy, and avoid anything that are known problem foods (i.e. sf candy, baked goods, etc.) until you are closer to goal.

Relax! Weight loss is only rarely in a steady downward line. You are actually doing very well so far, but don't expect this rate of loss to continue. This link might be helpful: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...&threadid=62526
