I want back!

This week has been a disaster. Ive been spending my time away from home in this little ski town called bigsky montana. This sweet guy has been making me breakfast, taking me out, ect ect (trying to make me fat!). This place has very limmited food options, and just one small (very spendy) market. I feel like crap though, I want to get go back to this WOE. Its pretty crazy, but Id rather eat low carb now then eat pizza. Anyways, the damage wasnt too bad, I only gained 1 lbs (I really watched the portion sizes). Im going to just have to come prepared next time I go up there. Anyone else have something like this happen, when they really had no other choice but to cheat?

I went to an office party, and all the people who normally bring low carb choices weren't there that week. I had nothing but pizza dip to eat, licked off a spoon.
Fortunately, I was able to run out for some hot wings with my boss, who is also low carbing. But trapped in a town with no choices...sounds like a horror movie!

I am a little stressed at the moment - job wise - so on Saturday night I ordered a pizza, ate it, and still feel like crap, I feel so back I feel like I have the flu -- I will never never do that again.

IRT skibunnie

I just had a similar experience, wich was last night. I went over to Erica's house(girl I'm dating) and her family made a traditional German dinner, sauerbraten. I guess the only bad part of the dinner was the spetzel and the bread I ate. I go to the gym everyday except Tue and Thur, I run 3miles and lift for 1hr30min - 2hr. So I figured what the hell :P

Now I just have to deal with the carb cravings for the next 2 days, this is the worst. I just ate a mock danish and im still hungry, yet I know I dont need to eat anymore.

ski, dont worry about it, you really were in a bind and did the best you could in the situation. The cravings will be a little bad for a few days, but you will get through it :) good luck

I had the same situation this weekend — was at a hunting lodge out-of-state, and the cook was FABULOUS. The food was truly gourmet, but all covered in gravy or flour. I did not "cheat," as I scraped off the gravy and picked around the breading, but I probably consumed some flour or cornstarch in the process. She made these yummy-looking biscuits and fantastic, gooey, chocolately desserts every night, none of which I touched. Oh, the temptation!
