today was some good, some bad
I first want to brag - down 3 more # today , so I have joined the 35# gone club so I got some early exercise dancing around the scale. :yay: We then had breakfast, my 2 eggs with bacon and some LC bread, Did a vacuuming and then headed to do errands - picked up my dry cleaning from storage ---(it is probably headed to the consignment shop since most of the blazers are size 20 and I am now a size 16... I may call a tailor and get an estimate on taking them in...) Then off to donate blood - and had to try to phone my hairdresser to say I might be a few minutes late.for my 12:00 appt. well the phone was ringing busy for over 1/2 an hour and I was complaining that probably her teenage sister was working the reception desk. Well, they 'release' me from the blood bank, after I ate my beef jerky and my water. I continue to try to reach the shop - no luck. As I am getting closer and closer to it - now almost 20 minutes late... I notice FIRETRUCKS there. As I slowly drive by - the entire place is GONE - only the block walls are standing - they shared the building with a dry cleaners/tuxedo shop - only cinders!!! :cry: Tonight's paper said they believe the fire started about 4 AM - by the drive through pick-up window of the cleaners. Thank goodness no one was hurt. I stopped over at Target and will do my roots tonight myself (they are THAT bad! :blush: ) but I am still shook up!!!
