How bad did I screw up?

My husband took me out for Chinese last night and I at the dishes with only the chicken and beef. I felt that "different full feeling" like I always do with LC but I am SURE I screwed up!

You would have to get a nutrition information sheet from that particular restaraunt to know for sure, but people here talk about eating chinese all the time. make sure you dont have any of the dreaded breaded stuff, and try to keep away from the sugary sauces (sweet and sour, etc. ) and no rice!! This WOE is not supposed to make you dread meals, you will get more comfortable as you move along and I would check the Atkins website for information to brush up a little, as I know you are waiting for your stuff to catch up with ya ;)

I saw one with the bread on the meat and I didn't eat it... I would not eat the sweet and sour...I just am worried because it was SOOOOO good that I felt terrified.
Thank you for telling me that others have talked about it.

If you avoid the obvious like breading and rice, the only culprit could be starch used to thicken the sauces. Be suspicious of anything with "goo"...

Very good point... I guess I was in trouble with the egg drop soup.

I used to use cornstarch to thicken my egg drop soup, pre-LC days, so I suspect many Chinese restaurants do the same. A relatively "safe" soup is the wonton soup. It's usually in a clear broth. I just attack the soggy wonton wrappers with my spoon and leave them in the bowl. Good luck on your LC journey!!!
