Bars you can make at home?(on zone)
 

I was just wondering if anyone out there has a good bar you can make at home which keeps you on zone? If so I'd love to have it! Thanks!

Just noticed your post. These are my favorite bars. I made them a lot when I was doing more caving - they are perfect at cave temperature. Was actually planning to whip up a batch tonight at the request of my daughter.

when you make these bars, what kind of protein powder do you use? I have zone protein powder.

Don't know about zone bars at home, but I just found this great new low carb snack - they are these fun little muffin balls! They are called Almond Butter Boulders and only have 3 net carbs. They are soooo good. I know you can buy them at www.nutballz.com, but I don't know if they are available in stores yet. Has anyone else been able to try them?

Twofooters asked about protein powder - I think the optimum nutrition vanilla is really good!

I just buy the bulk soy protein powder at the health food grocery store. There are enough other flavors in the recipe that you don't need to spend extra $ for taste. Whey protein (my preferred for shakes and most other uses) wouldn't work in this recipe and would mess up the ratio. The Zone protein powder should work fine, but I've never tried it myself.
