Sodium Saccharin?

As I was reading the other post on communion and lip gloss it made me go to my own lip gloss and look at the ingredients in it.

I have not worn any since I thought it would contain carbs and felt it was silly to ask.

While reading the ingredients I found it contains sodium saccharin. What is that? Is it like sugar? and should I count a carb for lip gloss?

I prolly sound neurotic but I am very new and just want to do everything as right as I can when I begin, till I get more comfortable.

Thanks,

-MJ-

Sodium saccharine is an artificial sweetener, and carbless.

It's hard not to get caught up in the whole carb-counting thing, and while it's good to be vigilant, a person can easily go crazy.....lol

Hi MJ,

No, saccharine has no carbs. :)
In fact saccharine is one of the artificial sweeteners that is permitted on Atkins.

Cheers.
