A couple of days ago in the Times Colonist they were talking about a couple of places that now serve low-carb meals, but I can't remember what they were. I will check my recycle and see if I can find it.

Finally found it. Wasn't in the Times Colonist, but in the Friday Sept 26 Weekend Edition of the Peninsula News Review(probably the same as Oak Bay News, Victoria News, etc). Valentino's Cafe on Blanshard has 6 low carb items on the menu based on customer requests. It says in the paper that 1/3 of the lunch business they do is based on Atkins related items. Example: spinach, bacon and feta cheese omelette and grilled salmon, both of which come with salad instead of fries. It also says Grocery Plus on the corner of Quadra and View is stocking Atkins stuff.
And there is a bit of a lecture from a dietician questioning the long-term implications of the Atkins regime. Just for your information.
