Question about NEW PRODUCTS/on Induction?!?!

There have been so many new products on the market lately along with more coming in the future...........how can we determine if they are good enough for induction??
DANDR state only to eat those things mentioned in the book for induction, but I am beginning to think we can add other things that have been coming on the market?!?! Am I right?

Thanks!
Heidi

You might want to list what these products are. Then we can discuss them.

According to your stats you are at goal weight-I am confused about why you are still on induction.

I am not on induction...........but my hubby is thinking of starting tomorrow, so I want to be able to send him off to work with plenty for him to have during the day so that he doesn't head toward the machines (he has a frig in his office!!)

I am thinking of the La Tortillas, and Carbwise bars in particular.

Thanks!

oh! OK-

The bars can stall some people and others don't have a problem with them. I haven't heard anything about the tortillas-but they seem to be really popular.

Since induction is only for a couple of weeks-I would probably try and skip the bars. Just in case.

I ate the bars in induction and still lost weight, but I have started to limit my intake just so I don't always rely on them.

According to the Rules of Induction:
Quote:
3. Eat no more than 20 grams a day of carbohydrate, most of which must come in the form of salad greens and other vegetables ....

4. Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta, grains, starchy vegetables or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter. Do not eat nuts or seeds in the first two weeks. Foods that combine protein and carbohydrates, such as chickpeas, kidney beans and other legumes, are not permitted at this time.

5. Eat nothing that isn't on the Acceptable Foods list. And that means absolutely nothing. Your "just this one taste won't hurt" rationalization is the kiss of failure during this phase of Atkins.

Low-carb protein bars (not the chocolate candy bars) are permitted on Induction as a "convenience food" for occasional consumption.
