splenda and serotonin?

Does splenda deplete serotonon levels? I have been experiencing some horrible migraines lately. I have about 4 packs a day. It was so bad I started seeing blurry in my left eye. I have to go for a cat scan next week. This has never happened to me before, I'm a little scared. What could this mean?

Ive never heard of splenda causing problems like that. Why dont you just cut out the splenda and see hwo you feel? Good luck with the cat scan, let us know how it goes.

I'm finding that I have strange problems when I eat about the same amount on a daily basis. I had mysterious cramping in my abdoman. I started to guess it was from the sweetener, so I stopped eating it and sure enough the pains went away.

I had a large amount of sweetener (splenda) yesterday and had some pain today.

The stuff is frankenfood - I guess we should expect nothing less!

splenda

I read somewhere that Splenda isn't absorbed by the "blood brain" barrier. The molecules are too big to pass through - unlike Aspertame (which is why aspertame can affect memory).

hi there,

I read back in your previous posts, and noticed you were considering ordering out for chinese food the other day. Did you have that? I just wonder if maybe it had MSG in it (monosodium glutamate) which is a known migraine trigger.

Hope you're feeling better now.

Doreen
