Jacquie,

I am bouncing around in the 230's. But, if you look at my stats, I had a high weight of 380 pounds. When I reach 230 pounds and stay there, I will have lost a total 150 pounds from my highest weight. I lost most of it doing CALP.(some doing WW). Last year at this time, I was 311 pounds. I am around 75 pounds lighter than that. I did stall for about 3 months, as I tried another eating plan and was eating too much fruit and cereal.

hi, i had your problem earlier. i was not eating enough veggies at rm. i started eating veggies with the WOrks!! lc veggies with, avocado, corn, beans, nuts ,protein( i use a protein shake when i was to lazy to prepare meat), fruit( as much as i want),a 60-70g dessert. The scale started moving downwards. that's allot of carbs!!!! i think i was having the same amount of carbs but now, different types. 60g dessert is normal some times to much. 60g dessert = 1 large sneaker bar or 2 cups icecream(regular),i'd count carbs for dessert. starches like rice, pasta, potatos, i count them from the 60-70g allowance. i really feel great. i have lost 1 pound average for the past 3 weeks, i am doing this. right now i am learning how to rotate carbs at RM so that i can enjoy the foods i like and not feel deprived by a little limitation that feels only natural when CAD starts working. it wasn't right that i had rice, chicked, juice, veggies, chocolates and pastries at one RM. That is an RM of disaster...check your RM's see if you carbs you eat are mainly process, sweetend or flour.

Hi Jacqui,

I asked the same type of question - I also am very happpy with the woe - it fits very well into my lifestyle - BUT I too have not been losing weight (and just to add an irrelevent extra similarity I too adore dogs!)

I know that one has to live with a woe for a permanent loss otherwise there is a diet to go off - because of cravings etc.

I have had about a week off everything - with flu - and have had plenty of time to look and analyse different woe - and myself. My conclusion is that I have to fix what I was doing wrong - my rm's were extremely unbalanced and I was not excercising. There are enough people on this forum who have done very well over a long period of time.

So my suggestion is - if it is right for you - go for it

Good luck

Shira

Thanks for all the encouragement, folks!!

I am feeling a little cheerier! I realise that basically this is it!!! This is the way I am going to eat FOR EVER!!
That is really something to get me head around. Especially after years of being very overweight and bouncing from one diet to another.
THIS IS IT!!!
Wow!!
I just need to be patient and enjoy the ride!
Thanks again
Jacquie
