achey ankles

Hi please can anyone help .... in the mornings, I wake up and my ankles are sore, achey, like they can't support me, my back aches, my joints ache when I have been doing nothing for a while eg telly watching, not that we've been doing lots of that recently, or sitting at the pc, sleeping, etc etc, could anyone shed some light as to why.... do you think it's a lack of a vitamin, a mineral or summink, old age, or the fact that my ankles are going on strike, giving up on me? I take calcium, potassium, multimineral, multivit, evening primrose, vit c, vit b6, garlic capsule every morning...
cheers in advance...

Do your joints are ache with inactivity? Does it go away when you've "worked" those joints? Example, when you wake up in the morning they hurt, but after you've moved around, moved the joints they feel better?

Or do they hurt more with activity? They start out sore but as you move the joints they increase in pain?

Do nsaids (ibuprofen, naproxen etc) help the pain?

One possiblity is arthritis, either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. I would suggest to head to your doctor to determine what it is.

THank you for your reply BeeDot, the pain disappears once I move about.... I haven't taken anything for it as yet so the aches soon go, but yes perhaps I ought to have this checked out... thanks again Fi x

I have heal spurs. In the morning it hurts to even get out of bed. Once I move around my feet and ankles feel better!!

I now have shoe inserts for my heels - kinda like dounuts for my heels. It helps - the next morning less pain. Now about three month later no pain.

Good Luck
