Yeast Infection

I have been battling yeast for the last month or so after having been on Atkins for almost three months. Last week, I had a simple surgical procedure to remove hemorrhoidal tissue while I also had a yeast infection. Now the yeast has attacked my wound and the inside of my buttocks making the healing process much slower, plus making me miserable. My doctor prescribed Diflucan after Monistat failed to help. I know from reading other postings that I should eliminate cheese, mushrooms and vinegar and that I should be taking Acidophilus. What else can I do? This is a very uncomfortable situation!

Eliminate cheese, mushrooms, vinegar and sugar. Styay LC. Make sure the acidophilus is a good live culture. That with the diflucan should do it!! Good Luck!!
