Smilies no longer animated
 

Hi - Quick question for the angels that run this site:

All of the animated gifs that I used to see on the site are no longer animated, nor are the smilies. Smilies are activated/enabled still. Nothing has changed. My program's memory is fine. Computer is fine. Flash and shockwave, fine. Other sites with animated gifs work just fine. I use IE version 5.1 for the Mac. Is there anything I can do to get them moving again?

Thank you so much for replying. I appreciate it very much. I clicked on the above thread and the smilies did not animate. Then I clicked refresh and they did! Then I went to my journal and nothing was animated, not even upon a refresh. Weird... I hate to bother you with something so trivial when the whole site is such a gift...

Check your browser stettings, there might an option to allow/disallow animated gif files.

Allow animated gifs is checked. All other sites where I can view animated gifs seem to work. Even some of the animated ads along the top of the forum's pages work fine.

I can live with it. Thanks for your help.

O.k. sorry I couldn't help. Hopefully a Mac expert might read this and can recommend a solution.

I am on a Mac too. Sometimes, the smilies are animated and sometimes they aren't. I am no kind of an expert so I can't explain this. But it does happen to me too.

When I first opened this thread, the angel was flapping the wings, but now it isn't. Hmmmmm?
And I've noticed that my avatar no longer whirls. I did check the browser Preferences and 'allow animated gifs' is checked. I'll have to look some more.
