induction

HI this is day 15. How long can I stay on induction as I feel great and there is nothing much I miss. I am worried if I start to have more carb I won't stop and put back on the 6lb I have lost on induction.

Hi - I don't think that there is any problpem with staying on induction - as long as you feel good then I would think that would be ok...?

But it might best if one of the long term LC'ers responds...

Well doen on the weight losses so far

Hi Fiona

Great to hear that you are doing well and now enjoying the low carb lifestyle.

There is no reason why you can not stay at around 20 carbs for a bit longer, but as you have not got that much to lose I would not stay down that low for to long. Believe it or not you can sometimes lose weight quicker at a higher level. I certainly found that. So I would not advise you to do it longer than a month before going to nearer 30 carbs a day.

You are in control, so it should not be a problem. Add more veggies or a piece of fruit. Fruit is almost all sugar, so eat it with fat or protein, not on its own to prevent an insulin spike. I love strawberries, raspberries, a smallish nectarine or peach, 2 small or 1 large plum, a medium size slice of honeydew melon, around 10 grapes, a kiwi fruit. All of these have 10 or less carbs in total. You could have half an apple, a whole one is a bit much, but steer clear of bananas.

Enjoy this healthy way to live.
