Usually doing Atkins reduces bloating. Perhaps you are eating something you are intolerant to, such as some people bloat due to cheeses. Start a journal and list everything you eat and drink, including water and supplements. There must be a reason why you are not losing weight and are bloated.

Are you drinking enough water? It could be some sever water retention due to not having enough water and eating too many high sodium processed foods. Like mentioned before food intolerences can cause gas and bloating. Hormonal shifts can also cause bloating. If there's gas and gas pains you might try taking beano or another gas reliever. Up your water intake quite a bit, start keeping track of sodium, and like stated before keep track of foods you are eating to see if there are any food intolerences.

I know the last time I had cheese I was bloated, gassy and miserable for the entire night. I also stopped losing weight, went out of ketosis for a short time, and just felt all over miserable. (Darn those pizza toppings)

I bloat from Dairy products - eggs and dairy are common allergens. Try to eliminate one at a time to determine which it is. You can also determine it by taking your pulse before you eat a food and then 20-30 minutes afterward, if it increases more than 20 beats per minutes - you likely are reacting to the food.

I dreamt of foods and craved them.

I always get bloated from the lack of bathroom action. I have to take fiber every day to stay regular. If I don't, I'll go a week without "going" and end up looking fatter by the day.

hey chelle i have the same problem as you, i should really get some fibre supliments. if you don't 'go' does it prevent u from loseing weight? because i don't 'go' as regulary as i should and i don't want it to stop me from loseing weight.

I believe it does. When people get high colonics (enemas that go way, way up there) they can lose 15 or 20 pounds of poop (sorry, this is gross.) Apparently actors/actresses/models frequently get high colonics before photo shoots and award shows.

That's why some folks take laxatives - abuse them - because they get rid of an actual solid substance in your body that has weight and takes up space. If you're eating every day, and nothing's coming out, it's still taking up space.

If I don't go in a week or so, I won't lose the pound or two I expected. So I just take two or three psyllium seed husk capsules a day so I won't get bloated and cranky.

You know what? I was bloated today and yesterday was the first time that I had cheese (21g) in a long time and I woke up feeling soooo bloated. My TOM is due on the 6th so maybe it could be that too. The best way to combat that is to drink more water.

I am really regular so I don' think it's that. I went so many times yesterday. I had about 21 g of fibre from mostly from veggies.

Hope you feel better soon.

Peace
