help getting rid of tummy!

I was reading in the atkins forum about how difficult it can be to lose in the tummy area.....and I am definately one of those people. It seems that thats the only place I have gained in the first place! I do have PCOS so I know it is going to be harder for me to lose in the tummy area. But I was just wondering what type of exercise I should do to help tighten that area, so that my skin isnt just flabby there. somebody suggested cardiovascular......I already do taebo tapes, walking, and 20 min on stairmaster. Guess I just need help on what I should be doing in the gym when I go there. thanks! :wiggle:

Sit ups, crunches...there are lots of videos (the Firm are great!) that can show you good form.

As you already know, you can not target a specific area on the body for weight lose.
As far as lose skin, this is going to get worse as you lose more weight.. Lose skin is an indication that you ARE LOSING fat in that area.
What may help is toning the abs muscles so you can hold your gut up if it is sagging.. for this you could do many many variations of abs exercises like crunches, situps, leg raises, etc.

The Firm's 5 day Ab tape is great.

Winsor Pilates do a great job of flattening and firming the abs; mine are shrinking like mad.

exercise

Between the tapes, pilates, tai-bo and crunches.. you should be SICK of exercising.. LOL! but, all this stuff works great on the body. just stick with it. It'll get easier as you go and you'll love yourself later. Don't forget to drink oodles of water too. The body needs to be hydrated to let that skin stretch back.

Good luck!
