dawi2002 gym log

Today is the beginning of a new journey in exercise. I am participating in the Midsummer Challenge, and have therfore made a committment to both myself and all others participating in the challenge to faithfully exercise. The plan is:

3 day treadmill per week - working my way up to 5 miles in 60 minutes
3 days of weight training per week (complete body)
6 days of pilates per week - various tapes and work outs

1 day of rest per week. Now this is the plan that I was on before and I want to be doing this plan again, however if this is too much, it is ok to start slow and work back up to this proram.

I will however promise to move at least three days per week no matter what!

Today I completed:

30 minutes treadmill - 1.44 miles
15 minutes pilates - abs

You can do it you know you can. Keep your eye on the journey not on the day to day crap.

Day two bites the dust.

Weights on the Bowflex

25lbs 2 times 15 - Fly, and chest press

25lbs 2 times 15 - Seated crunch, tricep extensions

25lbs 2 times 15 - oblique twists, and inner thighs

25lbs 2 times 15 - reverse ab crunch

25lbs 2 times 15 - biceps

25lbs 2 times 15 - lat pull down wide & narrow

35lbs 2 times 15 - leg extensions and leg curls

15 minutes Winsor Pilates basic workout.

Abs feel really tight today. Under the layer of fat, of course!!!!!!!!! Neck muscles also feel tight, maybe becasue of the pilates, lots of stuff with neck lifted off the mat.

I know it is only two days, but I am feeling much better, and stronger! Tomorrow is scheduled cardio and pilates, but I will be going to the Caribanna parade, and be walking around all day, so I will probably skip the treadmill.
