Well Shoot!!!!
Well, i thought i was doing great. But guess what. I ate pizza and some bread sticks and non diet coke and chocolate and a cappachina.. all in a matter of a few hours last night. boy oh boy. but i didnt let that stop me.. i was going to eat "regurlarly [LC]" today. I did very well until dad said.. lets eat chinese!! ACK! But I did good there. I only ate veggies and fish and chicken. no pasta, no breaded stuff. ( I know there was probebly some carbs in the sauces i ate... but hey hey hey.. at least i kept it as lc as possible, right?)
But my main problem, that makes me cheat is my age. I like to go to a friends house. What do I do there? I'm 15 and going to a friends house is the most challenging aspect of my way of eating. I dont want to eat all the high carb, startchy, sugary stuff.. but when i get hungry i dont know what else to eat. I usually stay the night there and all that fun stuff.... i just dont know what else to do!!! Any tips??? --Whitney |
How about bringing some low carb snacks with you when you go to your friends? That way you will never get hungry enough to eat the carb laden stuff.

Eating just before you leave can help too.

Well, they beat me to it! I would suggest the same two things :)

-one of my lifesavers - SLIM JIMS - fit well in the back pocket or in a purse
-small bags of peanuts If you are going to be there for awhile, most people have a can of tuna laying around - while your friend is eating a sandwich, see if it would be OK to fix some tuna & mayo to munch on. Or, carry some of those little packets of tuna in your purse/bookbag. Your friends may think you are a little off, but once they see the results, they will understand :D |
