Am i doing Wrong

I have been reading all this stuff about having 70%fat and other percentages. I had no idea you needed to do this. I am on my 12th day of induction and have lost 6.5pounds so far. I just make sure i dont go over 20 carbs a day from the acceptable list and eat what ever protein or fat i feel like at the time. Is this wrong should i be doing it differently

Thanks
Debbie

If it's working don't mess with it, all our bodies are different. Congrats on the weight loss!

:daizy: Hi Debbie. Have you checked out fitday.com yet? This is a great site where you can log your daily food consumption, and it will give you the % breakdown of what you eat including the content of fiber, carbs, calories, fat, etc. It lays the info out into a pie chart and its really easy to follow. Keep up the good work. Queen Bee

Hi Queenbee
I have looked at Fite but find it hard to match up what i eat as it is American and the foods you eat are somewhat different to ours. So was a bit difficult

Debbie: I say just go with the flow. I think some of us on here need total control of our menus and fitday.com starts making us nuts. Just my opinion. :) (Come on faithful fitday-ers, you know it starts to drive you batty!)

If you're under 20g carbs and they come from the list, you're (as your name alludes to) on your way.

As long as you eat enough protein and fat to feel satisfied, you're probably just fine. I always found when I fitday-ed a lot that my calories, fat, etc. were pretty self-regulated as long as I watched the carbs. Sometimes the bod just knows what to do.

Fitday is most helpful for figuring out recipes, unfamiliar carb counts for new foods, checking veggie carbs, etc. Useful tool, but not absolutely necessary.

Take care! :)

Does fitday ever drive me up a wall!

I am with the others, if its working for you, go with it. Our bodies all respond diffirently.

I too agree with the others. Just go with it, if its working, why fix it. Fitday can be a good tool, or it can be a real pain in the butt!! Personally I gave up on the entering my food on a daily basis. I do that at the Atkins site, and in my personal planner. You seem to be doing well so far, keep up the good work!!!

When I began induction, I counted carb grams, only. That is how the Atkinscenter site advises. However, I did learn that it is important to watch serving sizes and that has been very important for OWL.
