Weekend Binge Summary

Ok, I had my first binge over the 4th of July weekend  Man, I ate everything in sight! Chips, desserts, snack foods, breads, etc. Easily broke several hundred carbs per day and 3k+ calories. Here's the results: (Went back to 20gm carbs by Monday)

Monday weight: 186 lbs
Tuesday weight 189 lbs
Wednesday weight: 184lbs
Thursday weight 181 lbs!

So, today and tomorrow I increase my carbs by 15 per both days to get back to my previous level of 50 (of which I was starting pre maintenance the day I started my binge hehe), and hold at 50gm of carbs until next week and progress as planned.

Now let me tell you guys something, my mouth and brain enjoyed the binge, but my stomach did not!! I was so cramped, bloated and gassy all weekend. Sometimes I was even nauseated! When I went back to induction levels Monday, I had headaches for two days!! (which is wild, as I did not have carb withdrawal symptoms when I originally entered induction)

Everyone responds differently to binges, but it seems I was able to recover quickly. However, I now have a negative association with my weekend binge in the form of gastrointestinal distress and withdrawal symptons upon reentering induction. In other words, I have no desire for another binge!! Vive la low carb!

I get the same way... My head and mouth love to binge but my body hates em. I get sick to my stomach after I binge.

Kind of like beating your head against a brick wall - it feels so good when you stop. :)

I got so bloated this weekend that I could literally see my stomach bloating. It looked like I was about 4 mos pregnant.
