ZoneCoach...

In one of your other posts you mentioned that you eat every 3 hours. How many blocks do you eat/day? Are your smaller meals only 1 or 2 blocks each?

Also just out of curiosity, how long have you been on the Zone?

Thanks!

Usually I'm at about 14 blocks, sometimes 13 ~ depending on my activity level. Depending on what I'm eating determines how many blocks at a time. Never more than 3 at a time, but usually 1 or 2. I found if I eat say 3 or 4 blocks at a time (depending on what the "meal" is ~ ie; heavier-vs-lighter), I get very very full and I'm still hungry at the 3 hour mark anyway. Typically what I do is take a 3 or 4 block breakfast (eggs, oatmeal, strawberries, peanut butter, toast) and spread it out over the course of 4-5 hours. ~ 1 block upon waking, one block before workout, 2 blocks post workout.

About 2 years. I received my certification last year. I can't imagine eating any other way.
Are you thinking of converting????? :yay:

I was on the Zone last year for about 4 months and it worked... for a while, but then I started feeling hungry long before my 5 hours were up.

Plus I found it was sometimes hard (time wise) to weigh and measure the food. I also had my gall bladder removed on Christmas Eve and that's when I seemed to be hungrier eating in the Zone.

I do think it's a healthy way to eat and sometimes a little more flexible--you can adjust your carb levels to include a piece of dessert once in a while) at times.

I'm trying Atkins for the induction anyway and I'll see how it goes. So far no hunger and I'm enjoying what I'm eating, but in the long run I'm not sure how healthy it really is.

Oh BTW, What kind of certification did you receive??
